Having graduated triple summa cum laude in law, Mr. Van Rijswijk began his professional career within the premier tier of European legal practice at De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek. Admitted to the firm’s elite Supreme Court litigation practice (CAP), he helped shape high-stakes appellate strategy and complex disputes before the Dutch Supreme Court (Hoge Raad).

Recognizing that transformative business counsel requires more than legal theory—even when practiced at the highest level—and that truly successful business advisors must possess deep personal, strategic, and commercial mastery, he made a pivotal choice following the loss of both his parents. He transitioned away from Supreme Court litigation to immerse himself in hands-on client advocacy at a boutique practice. There, after i.a. winning the prestigious Best Legal Oral Litigator Award and sitting on a definitive partnership trajectory, Mr. Van Rijswijk made another deeply personal choice: instead of signing up as a partner of the firm he entirely stepped away from active legal practice to study financial economics. He did this to expand his multi-disciplinary capabilities by pairing his proven strategic insights with rigorous financial and investment valuation mastery.

Over the subsequent twenty years, Mr. Van Rijswijk deployed his by now exceptionally broad interdisciplinary skills—encompassing i.a. deep legal, strategic, business, and investment acumen—across global markets, and established a proven nearly two decades long, world-beating investment track record driven by exhaustive fact-finding, rigorous logic, personal convictions, and deep strategic business knowhow.

Convinced from a young age that if an all-encompassing God exists, this divine reality must then be of a life-directing importance, he has throughout his career taken periods of deep sabbatical reflection, spending years to studying both Eastern and Western cross-cultural knowledge and faith systems. During these periods Mr. Van Rijswijk immersed himself in into the mystical and contemplative tradition of the Orthodox and Roman Catholic Church, mastered buddhist meditation in general and Dzogchen’s practice of Trekchö in particular, and perfected his practice of the art of Taijitsu under the last living grandmaster of Japanese Ninjutsu, the venerable Masaaki Hatsumi. He integrates these deeply internalised granular insights into his professional life through high-level mindfulness, acute situational awareness, and values-based governance. And he seamlessly translates these frameworks into his executive guidance, helping businesses, professionals, and private individuals navigate complex challenges with solid ethical grounding and effective long-term results.
